This past summer we had to say goodbye to my sweet dog, Buster. Well, here we go again....our black lab, Duke, was put down this morning. As I mentioned in my post about Buster, these two dogs were like our children - we had them for 5 years before God blessed us with our kids. Duke was such a sweet, sweet lab. He loved the kids and would let them abuse him without complaint. Rhyne is so heartbroken, it makes me so sad to see my husband so upset. Out of our three kids, Ann Phelps was the one most attached to Duke. She LOVED this dog. Her eyes would light up whenever we walked in the door and Duke was standing there. She always found him to be a comfy resting spot too! Duke truly was the epitome of a faithful companion.

Oh, Beth, we are so sorry. We know how you feel, our pets are just like our babies too.
I'm so sorry about Duke :( God bless the big fellow.....
