Most people will think it is strange that our 2.5 year old has still been sleeping in a crib. But these days my motto is: "go with whatever works"! Ben has been my best sleeper. He began sleeping through the night at 8weeks and hasn't looked back. He has never wanted to sleep with anyone but himself. He LOVES his crib!! The day has finally come that he is too big for the crib. Yesterday Rhyne and I worked for 5 hours converting the boys room into a little boys room - no crib!! I was very nervous how this transition would work, but our prayers were answered! Ben slept like a rock in his new big-boy bed!!! I didn't sleep much because I kept waiting for him to wake up! I really hope this will last! In a way I am a little sad to see him take another step growing up!!

Beth, the artist?
No, I am not an artist, but for one night I pretended to be! My friend, Ashley, took me to Easely Amused for my birthday (even though my birthday was a month ago, we decided to go when the holidays were over). Easely Amused is a place where you can go to an art class for two hours and paint a picture. They claim anyone can paint the pictures - no ability needed! I don't think mine turned out too bad, but I definitely will not be displaying it for others to see! I really had a good time! If you want to see what the painting really looked like, go to http://www.easelyamused.com/ and click on the "Tree of Life" class.

Sam's Birthday Party
Ben took the decorating and eating seriously!
She is active!
Sam Springfield turned 4 this month. What a miracle he is!! We went to his birthday party today at Pizza Inn in Madison. The kids were "chefs", they made their own pizzas and cupcakes - too cute!! Of course I had to keep Ben from eating his pizza raw, which made him cry! Both boys had a great time!!
Also this week, Ann Phelps has decided to get active: she is now pulling up and crawling!! In one month we will be celebrating her birthday!! Wow!!

First Week of 2010
Well, we are coming to the end of the first week of the new year. It has been a record week for cold temps! Will stayed home Thursday and Friday because Rhyne was thinking the weather would be too icy for me to drive - the roads ended up being fine, but Will loved having the days off! When you have little ones a new year is always filled with firsts and milestones! The pictures I have included show some of these milestones. The picture with the baseball gloves was Rhyne's idea. (he told me to include it on the blog) Will will be playing T-ball this Spring. Rhyne has been waiting on this since Will was born!! Watching them "practice" makes me scared that Will has my coordination - which is why I never played softball!! I have also included a picture of Ann Phelps and her new high chair. She is hitting her milestones at lightning speed (except walking). I am having a hard time letting her "grow-up"? I get so sad every time we have to put another "baby" item up in the attic because she has outgrown it!! I can't believe next month she will turn one!!! God has blessed us with a wonderful 2009! I cannot wait to see what God has planned for 2010!!
