Ready for Ballet

She is very excited about ballet! We got her "uniform" for ballet today and she wanted to wear it all day!! Her first lesson is next Wednesday - a whole week for her to just wait!

K3 for AP

Ann Phelps began K3 today at Covenant.  Her teacher is Mrs. Huff - my resource for all things g-free! I  left her this morning crying, but she was all smiles when I came through the car pool line!  She said she had the most fun day ever.

Ben started k4 today!  His teacher, Mrs. Adams, says they had an awesome day!

Back to School

Today, Will began his 1st grade year at FPDS!  When I picked him up, he told me it was the best day ever! (he says that about a lot of things).  This year he will be in an all-boy class.  This first grade group has a lot of boys in it so there will always be an all-boy class unless some girls decide to come to FPDS!!  I feel very blessed that he is going to such a great Christian school!

The Stadium

My kids have been planning this vacation for a year.  It wasn't a big trip, but to them - it was worthy of a countdown calendar and skipping a few Chick-fil-a meals to save money!! The boys love legos - an understatement- we didn't have time to do the big Lego Land in Orlando so we visited the next best thing in Dallas!  This Lego Discovery center was perfect for them!  They had so much fun and right next door was a very awesome aquarium!  Of course Ann Phelps had to have her special moment on the trip.  She got her very first American Girl Doll - McKenna.  Then Dee Dee, me and AP had a breakfast with McKenna!  Ann Phelps loves this doll and held her the entire ride home today!! Yesterday, the boys went one way and the girls went another way!  The boys (Rhyne, Ben, Will, and Pap) went to buy cowboy boots and visit the Dallas Cowboys Stadium!  I think all the walking around the huge stadium wore them all out!  The girls (Dee Dee, me, and Ann Phelps) went shopping all day!! We arrived home late this afternoon!! The kids all agreed that it was the BEST vacation (they say that about everything)!!

The kids were gone for a week and when they came back, Ben started feeling sick.  By Sunday he was not well at all.  I thought he had appendicitis - after 4 days in the hospital it was determined he had Salmonella!  The doctors said he probably came in contact with something early in the week and the "bug" nested in his tummy.  Poor thing - he was so pitiful!  I am very thankful it was a quick bug and he was able to feel better in time for our vacation.  I am now even more OCD with passing out the germ x!!!!

Will and Ben went to Star Wars camp the last week in July.  They had so much fun!  They were able to fight Darth Vader and learn how to be a Jedi!
