Early 4th of July Celebration

I took the kids' to Greenwood's annual firework celebration on Thursday.  We went last year and had so much fun.  This year we had a front row seat since Boots and NelNoo live by the river in Greenwood.  They had a block party and the kids made some new friends - Will even invited all of them to his birthday party!! I didn't get any pics of the fireworks because my camera battery died- just some of the pre-party activities!

A Super Hero and the Princess

This week Ben and Ann Phelps went to camp at First Baptist Jackson.  Ben went to learn super hero skills and AP went to learn princess manners.  The last day, the Princesses had a tea party.  At the party, they could do their nails, make jewelry, and best of all put on make up! Ben "graduated" with his cape and official super hero certificate- he is Forrest Man (don't know where he thought of that)!

You read my mind

I say this to myself at least a thousand or more times a day.  And "Be still and know I am God".  Those are the two that run through my head when things are hairy!  I can say "everything will be ok" because I know who is in control because I am usually in a "mess" because I tried to control something - I tried to lean on my own understanding!  A few weeks ago, I was having a very tough week BUT I can rest knowing everything will be okay no matter what I go through because the Lord is preparing the way!!

Playdate at the movies

After VBS, we meet the Jackson boys at the movies.  Today is Vaiden's 3rd birthday! Vaiden decided to cut out on the movie early so he missed the group shot!  We saw Madagascar 3.

VBS 2012

We survived another whirlwind VBS week! The kids loved it and had so much fun.  They learned about David so a lot of the crafts were dealing with sheep!
