Plug it in

As I posted a few months ago, Will loves vacuum cleaners! When we bought him a child's vacuum (that looks like the real thing), he was upset it didn't have a cord. We made a cord from yellow rope. He "plugs" the vacuum in the couch cusions, under heavy toys, he has even wrapped the cord around the changing table legs. Here is a picture of his latest way to "plug" his vacuum in. It amazes me how inventive (is that a word?) he is!

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day! Will came running in the bedroom with my card and he said, "Happy Mother's Day, look what Santa Clause left you!", how sweet! Every Mother's Day I celebrate, I also remember the five I went through heartbroken. At one point, I thought I would never be able to celebrate being a mother. God has perfect timing and has so graciously given me two special boys! I try not to take a moment for granted! I also had a very tender moment with Will late yesterday afternoon. It was just him and me outside and he began to shake this "baby" maple tree we have in the front yard. We planted this tree about two years ago in memory of the twins - Matthew and Harris. I took this opportunity to explain to him that we don't want to destroy this tree because it is special. I told him about his brothers in Heaven and how we could remember them everytime we look at the tree. I wasn't sure if he was understanding anything I was telling him. Finally, he said, "I want to go to Heaven to see Matthew and Harris and God." My heart melted as I held back my tears. This was my best Mother's Day so far!

Sitting Up

Ben is now sitting up better. He can sit for a while without falling over. It seems he is growing up so much faster than Will, I guess it's because I had time to watch Will grow- it seemed to go by much slower!

Mom's Morning Out

Will goes to a Mom's Morning Out program two days a week. It has been a great help! Last Thursday was the Indoor Family Picnic they have each year. Each class stands and sings a song they have learned this year. Of course Will's class sang "Jesus Loves Me" (a special song for our family). They also sang "The Wheels on the Bus". Here are some pictures.

Long time, no post!

I thought I was about to go the whole month of April with only one post! We have been busy. As many of you know, my brother, Justin, is getting married in June. We have been busy having parties and showers. Rhyne and I went to Houston, TX April 19 for a wedding - it was a great get-away for two tired parents!!! The boys are growing fast. Ben is now wearing 18-24 month clothes (he is only 7.5 months old)!!!! I will add pics later!

Horton

I took Will to see "Horton Hears a Who" Sunday afternoon. This was his first movie. I think he loved the popcorn more than the movie!! The movie was cute - great visuals!! It is fun to hear him try to pronounce "Horton Hears a Who".

Easter

We had a great Easter weekend. We were able to visit both families over the weekend. Will had a great time because he was the only kid hunting eggs at both places. I wonder what he will do next year when Ben is old enough to hunt? Enjoy the pictures.
